Ipanema is a Brazilian/Portuguese restaurant that has been a family run business for over 30 years. Based in Midtown Manhattan, New York City on 46th street, affectionately known as little Brazil.
As the restaurant was founded in 1979, Ipanema had built up a long history with a loyal customer base. Now with the restaurant moving up the street to a much bigger premises, the family wanted to relaunch with a vibrant brand and interior makeover that appealed to a wider audience as well as the established Brazilian/Portuguese regulars.
my:creative were commissioned to revamp the brand and apply it to the new two story space with a fresh storefront and bespoke internal features. Including the bar facade, original framed wall art and a custom feature millwork pieces adapted from the Ipanema walkway in Rio.
